“In May 2004 we announced a further £50 million investment
into our car manufacturing plant in Derbyshire, creating an additional 500
jobs.The will enable us to increase production capacity of Avensis and Corolla
vehicles from 220,000 to 285,000 per year.
Since Toyota announced it would
locate in the UK, over £1.1billion
has been invested into our East Midlands plant. The East Midlands offers
a first class environment in which to live and work, and we continue to
benefit from our strong links within the local and regional community.”
